Notebooks for Scientific Meaning-Making (Grades K-12)

Description

Tuesday, June 25, 2024
9 am - 12 pm PT
Online PD on Zoom

Keeping a notebook can support your students to think and act like scientists, as well as building a personal connection to your work and learning. Science notebooks can be a powerful tool for organization, communication, data collection, concept development, and formative assessment. In this workshop we will practice some strategies for making the most of science notebooks, and introduce some of the many different ways that they can be used. While many of these strategies can be applied to digital notebooks, this workshop will focus on using paper notebooks. No prior science notebooking experience required, but you will need to bring your own notebook.

This three-hour online learning experience will be highly interactive and will engage you in small-group discussions and individual exploration.

This workshop is designed for teachers who work with grades K-12. All educators are welcome.
